Flamy Grant recently became the first drag queen to top the Christian music charts. Catholic musician Jessica Gerhardt spoke with Grant for NCR about the album, queerness and faith.

The enneagram is now a popular tool for categorizing and understanding personality. I've found it to be a tool for deepening my relationship with God that is easily integrated into a Christian understanding and practice.

Perspective: As a music minister, I ultimately agree with banning worship music when it has been composed by people who have been accused of committing grave sexual and spiritual abuses.

Commentary: Can we lean into the mystery of the resurrected Christ whose appearance was changed? Can we be open to listening to what our transgender and nonbinary siblings say to us and find Christ there?

As a Catholic singer-songwriter in Los Angeles, I have found fulfillment building community among and promoting other artists. I wanted to highlight a few incredibly gifted artists, who just happen to be Catholic too.
